My wife and I make any big decisions together, because two heads are generally better than one. Certainly, having two dollars is better than having one, and a two-day weekend is better than just one day off.

One better than two?

My wife and I make any big decisions together, because two heads are generally better than one. Certainly, having two dollars is better than having one, and a two-day weekend is better than just one day off.

But in some situations, one might be better than two. I’m thinking of trenchless pipe installations. Doesn’t it make more sense to install one pipe instead of two? A single-pass option rather than a two-pass option could save you time, save you money and reduce risk.

August 2015 Pipeline

In our September webinar "Single-Pass vs Two-Pass Pipe Tunnels — How to Reduce Your Risk," we’re going to talk about a single-pass alternative — concrete with a fully integrated FRP liner — and about when this could be a viable option. Trenchless challenges and solutions will also be high up on our agenda of topics at this year’s WEFTEC in September.

P.S. If you’re going to the ASCE Pipeline Conference, our Director of Engineering Jeff LeBlanc will present two interesting papers: "Alternative Pipe Material Choice Provides Trenchless Solution" on Monday at 3 p.m. and "Alternative Construction Methods and Pipe Provide Solutions for Cleveland WWTP Project" on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. And visit Booth #314 and say hello.
